OVERVIEW:
Any person directly affected by a decision of the code official or a notice or order issued under the International Property Maintenance Code or Quality of Life Ordinance shall have the right to appeal to the board of appeals, provided that a written application for appeal is filed within twenty (20) days after the decision, notice or order was served.
An application for appeal shall be based on one of the following:
- The true intent of the code or the rules legally adopted thereunder have been incorrectly interpreted.
- The provisions of this code do not fully apply.
- The requirements of this code are adequately satisfied by other means.
The form includes filing instructions. A non-refundable fee of $500.00 must be submitted before an appeal application will be accepted and processed.
MEMBERSHIP OF BOARD:
The board of appeals consists of three members appointed by the Borough Council and serve staggered and overlapping terms.
